The Stable
A studio apartment for two, with a living/sleeping area and a large wet room.
Level access through 81cm wide half-glazed stable door to living area with oak floor and 2 small rugs.
- Kitchen designed for independent wheelchair use. Worktops 85cm high with clear space under sink and hob. The units under sink and hob can easily be removed on request, to allow seated access under. Side-opening combi-microwave oven and fridge-freezer with accessible shelves.
- Dining/work table for two/three, 1 chair with arms and two without.
- Sleeping area with 6’ double/twin bed, measuring 60cm from the top of the mattress to the floor. A single sofa bed allows for use by a personal assistant/carer or friend/family member. A screen is available in this case. Two bedside tables with touch lamps on each.
- Transfer area next to bed is 150cm minimum. There is space under the right side of the bed for hoist feet to fit under.
- 32” TV with remote control, on wall-mounted swivelling stand, allows for viewing from either bed or sofa. Remote control.
- Level access through 80cm wide door from sleeping area to large wet room with shower, WC, smaller wash hand basin and separate larger washing basin with lever taps. Grab rails and unfixed shower chair provided on request. Vinyl non-slip safety flooring.
- Food and water bowls can be provided for assistance dogs.
